Was on my way home and the right front brake on my F150 locked up. I just happened to pull into their lot to check it out. It was smoking and red hot. They came out and checked out the problem, had parts delivered and had it fixed in a little over an hour just before they closed. I was back on my way home. I had no appointment but they helped out and made my day so much better than it could have been. Quality of work was good and I even left with a parts and towing warrantee that was included at no charge. Thanks guys

Incompetent scammers who will steal your money and constantly give you the runaround. They lied and said they could perform the engine replacement but had absolutely nothing to show for it after a year and then Anthony justified keeping my deposit by saying "It looks like you can afford it." Trusting them with a complex project was a massive mistake. Hardly "Engine Replacement Specialists" at all. I'd trust them with no more than an oil change, if that. Avoid at all costs.

*PLEASE READ BEFORE USING A&R Auto* If you are considering engine work or any auto work at A&R, please consider the timeline of my experience there. I purchased a friends car with a blown engine and decided to take it to them for engine replacement. September 2017 - engine replacement, initially happy with work and it drove off the lot without issue. For the next 8 months, I drove it once a week and checked oil/antifreeze levels to make sure everything was good to go. It was my second car, not a daily driver. The mileage came to ~200 miles. Only 200 miles. April 2018 - Engine blew up while on 77 South. Even though warranty was 6 months, I calmly approached A&R to see if there was anything they could do to help me out. I understand how the business works, so I simply thought I'd ask. They said they would take a look and I left it with them on April 30th. $3,000 for 200 miles is unacceptable. Over the next 2 weeks, I called every couple days or so to see if they had looked at the car, they had not. I have had several repairs and maintenance done to my Jeep here over the past few years. They have always given me the best pricing I could find in town. They are trustworthy and have been honest to me about what work was imperative and what work could wait until I had more money. Several of my family members have brought their vehicles here for repairs as well and they have also been very happy with their customer service and work.

Don't be misled by the rather shabby office and the motley crew, these folks do good work. I had a bad engine overheat from a blown coolant valve that led to melted gaskets and a warped cylinder head in an older car, and Anthony and his people had it running like new. They could use an office manager and a waiting room, but the mechanics are top notch and cost competitive.
